Great stuff and no fluff!
Please scroll down the longest list of information and instructions and Q & A's you've ever had to scroll down.......
My goal in offering CE courses on-line is simple: to continue to make available the things you've come to expect of my workshops such as helpful, relevant, up-to-date information, reasonable costs, and (perhaps most importantly) working with a person, someone who knows and understands first-hand what the "CE Quest" is about instead of a big, impersonal corporation.
Here are some additional reasons to take on-line CE's with me:
++Ease of use. Taking an on-line course with me couldn't be more simple.
++Your satisfaction is guaranteed. Period. If you aren't satisfied, you don't pay a cent.
++You have unlimited retakes of the quiz at no extra charge.
++You can view the complete course before you pay.
++You can see the quiz before you take the course and before you pay.
**Ignore the following information until I receive some answers to some questions I emailed to the Board. Please join the Email Blast List so you'll be notified when I get those answers and update the CEU information.
These are answers to the most Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's):
Q: Are your courses approved for CE hours?
Karen: If you are licensed in the state of Georgia as an LPC, LAPC, LCSW, or LMSW, then courses are approved hours for you. As of 4/2/20 these courses are 'Core' for the counselors and social workers and 'related' for LMFT's. That might change, depending on if we differentiate between core and related now that all ceu's can be take online
Click on The 'Text/Read On-Line Courses in the menu to your right. Information regarding the number of contact hrs. and the approvals is there in addition to the courses and the quizzes. Keep in mind that these are on-line courses and your certificate will indicate that you took online in an asynchronous manner.
Please Note: If you hold licenses in states other than Georgia or Texas and/or you hold licensure other than counselor or social worker, it is your responsibility to determine if these courses meet your continuing education requirements.
Q: Would you explain the steps in taking an on-line course with you?
Karen: Absolutely. Click on The 'Text/Read' On-LIne Courses to your right in the menu. Select the course you want. A brief description, the target audience, and the learning objectives, along with the number of hours and course cost, are directly under the name of the course. Click on Course and you will see the entire course. There is also an option for you to click on Quiz so you can see it before you begin your course. *I advise you to print it out and mark your answers as you take the course. Now you simply read/study the course material and mark your answers as you go. When you've finished the quiz, SAVE IT somehow.
You have several different ways to indicate your answer. It doesn't matter how you mark it, as long as I know what you've chosen for your answer. Here are the options as to how to submit your answers: send them as an email attachment to me at firstname.lastname@example.org OR print the quiz out and send it to me via snail mail to 2295 Parklake Dr., Ste. # 555, Atlanta, GA 30345 OR as a list of your answers in a Word doc OR as a PDF OR listed in a text OR listed in an email OR take pictures of your answers and email them to me OR from an owl at Hogwarts OR meet me at Chick Fil A parking lot and give it to me. It doesn’t matter how you get it to me as long as I can tell what your answers are.
Q: When do I pay?
Karen: Immediately after you submit your answers to the quiz.Do NOT wait until I’ve told you that you passed. Hit the yellow ‘Add to Cart’ button to make payment. You do not have to use Paypal. Look at the small print under Paypal that says ‘Other Ways to Pay’ and you’ll see other options like Visa, etc.
Q: How will I know if I passed the quiz AND what happens if I don't pass?
Karen: After receiving your quiz, I will score it as soon as is humanly possible, I will send you an e-mail letting you know that you passed.
Q: What do I have to make to pass the quiz?
Karen: 80% or better is passing.
Q: When will I receive my certificate?
Karen: After you pass the quiz and have paid. Upon receipt of your payment, you will receive your certificate by e-mail or mail. It's your choice. An evaluation will come with your certificate. Please fill it out and return it to me in any way you want, as long as you are not identified.
Q: I want to use my credit card to pay for my course. Is your system secure and safe?
Karen: YES! Your information goes through a secure server. I've been taking credit cards since January 2009, and there's never been a problem with security. This site has an SSL certificate.
Q: What credit cards do you accept?
Karen: I accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and PayPal.
Q: What if I don't want to use a credit card to pay for my course?
Karen: No problem. You will simply mail me a check or a money order.
Q: How do I know how much a course costs and how many CE's it is?
Karen: You will see the cost and number of CE's under the name of the course.
Q: What if I pay and then change my mind?
Karen: As long as you let me know before you receive your certificate, I will refund your payment in full. Again, once you've received your certificate, it's a done deal.
Q: What if I lose my certificate?
Karen: A record is kept and it will be no problem to issue you a replacement. When you request a replacement certificate, you will indicate how you want to receive it: e-mail or mail. There is no charge for this.
Q: What do I do if I have a complaint?
Karen: Text me or email me. Remember my promise: Your satisfaction is guaranteed. If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may contact the NBCC office.
NOTE: I hope this information has been helpful. If you have any other questions, please text me: 404-754-2677 or e-mail me at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org. Either one is fine. I do not have voice mail.
